Highlights from CEPCA You Won't Want to Miss!

Updated: Oct 9

The CEPCA Convention has wrapped up, and we’re excited to share some of the amazing moments from the event! Canadian Disaster Response Organization (CDRO) was right at the heart of it all, engaging with industry leaders, government folks, community organizations, students, volunteers, local Members and partners. It was a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our mission, and our success stories, all made possible by our extraordinary Members.

Foxhole Buddies

At the recent event, CDRO and Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC) showcased the power of collaboration in emergency response by teaming up to share booth space. We were thrilled to welcome RAC into our booth, recognizing the critical role they play in emergency situations. Their expertise in delivering resilient, reliable, and flexible communication systems during crises—especially when conventional infrastructure fails—is invaluable. This partnership highlights the strength of working together to enhance emergency preparedness and response efforts.

Spreading the Word

Spreading the word about CDRO and the crucial work we do is more important than ever. As a leading organization in disaster preparedness planning and response, it’s vital that we continue to raise awareness about our mission and the services we provide. Having the opportunity to engage with a wide range of visitors, including CDRO members, the emergency management community, and government partners, was incredibly rewarding. These conversations allowed us to showcase our impact, strengthen partnerships, and inspire further collaboration across all portfolios. It was wonderful to connect with so many people who share our commitment to helping communities in times of need.
